An affordable motel with 5 star staff.

First impressions. First off, the staff is very friendly, and helpful, especially given that it's a budget motel. You typically won't find staffers in the budget locations that actually want to be at work, or that want to help you make your stay more comfortable. Jill the customer service manager was extremely helpful and patient with me while I got the details of my stay figured out, and later that evening, when I checked in Mandy the night clerk was quite friendly, easy to talk to, and she even upgraded my room free of charge! Next the room. I was upgraded from a single bed deluxe to the king size superior room, which was quite a jump, and again, for no charge. The bed was comfortable, pillows serviceable, but I learned a long time ago to bring my own pillow from home to help get a better night sleep. Amenities in every room include a microwave, a single cut coffee machine, and a refrigerator. My room also included a safe, although I never use them. Good stuff out of the way on the room, here's some bad. While I generally have a positive view of my accommodations, especially given the price, this location was a fairly recent remodel from an old property and it shows in some places, such as the flooring having about a quarter inch gap between the boards and the door jam at the bathroom. The bathroom itself was disappointing, being about the size of your typical closet with a full bath crammed into it. Shower was very hot with plenty of water pressure, of course I was up early. The hotel also includes your hotel brand soaps, which were actually quite nice, I used both the bath bar soap and the shampoo and frankly, I stay at a lot of high end Hilton hotels and whatnot, and these were on par with what you have to PAY for at those locations. My room had a sticker on the door which said "100% always smoke free" or something to that effect, which I assume must mean that since the remodel work nobody has smoked in the room. Which was nice, given that few things are more disgusting than the smell of stale smoke. There was some sort of perfume odor in the room, that wasn't unpleasant, although it was a bit odd. TV has on demand services, although they are laughably expensive, with anything worth watching being in the 20 dollar a hit range. Channels were limited, about 40 of your most basic cable options, with no cartoon network or comedy central (sad). The included desk space was quite nice, with plenty of room to work, and is indeed where I am typing this review from. Desk chair was comfortable and breathable material makes any report work you may need to do on the road just a bit easier to do. Only other furniture in the room was a vinyl upholstered chair, but I'm not sure why it was here. Just sitting next to the TV in case you need it I guess. My first evening was punctuated with the typical noise you would expect from a property right next to an interstate, including some brake squalls that were so loud I thought it was the fire alarm going off. Also, expect that since it is a budget location that it will attract budget customers, so some loud talking on the balcony, and "beater with a heater" type vehicle noises such as bad exhaust are going to be occuring during the evening. If the noise is a problem I highly advise you to get your hands on a white noise machine, or just set up a speaker and play some while you sleep from youtube. Earplugs are great too if you can sleep with them in. All told, I have stayed at two Red Roof locations in the Indianapolis area in recent memory, they were both quality locations with great staff, especially for the price point. If I find myself working on the north side of Indy again, I will be strongly considering a return.

Disgusting!! There was a fake nail on the bathroom floor upon arriving at our room. My husband spilled a drink on the floor and when I wiped it up, the tissue was black. Worst Red Roof ever! I would stay elsewhere in the Indianapolis area.

Cheap location but you get what you pay for

My first impression was not good as the person working the counter seemed annoyed to check me in. I will say that when I went to check out the person was super friendly and event appoligized that she could not refund me for the night I was not stay as we headed home a day earlier than planned. The bed was comfortable. The bed spread on both beds had cigarette burns in them. The bathroom needed work though. I went to adjust the shower head and it fell off. The back of the door had some kind of gang sign or something on it. They painted over it with a different color paint. Even that really didn't help as you could still see it. This property certainly is dated and needs some TLC. It is also near an intersection that is fairly loud. Overall it served it purpose but clearly needs work to be more than just and average cheep hotel.

Filthy

This place was filthy. I understand that places can be dated or furnishings wear out but to keep a property so filthy is inexcusable. The linens where stained, the furniture was completely dusty and the bathroom was disgusting. The fridge leaked water all over. The property (grounds) are a good indicator of how there is no care for this property. The price isn't worth it.

Nice little hotel near college park.

This hotel is great for short stays-no frills. Bed was comfortable, lots of pillows. No big deal made over having a pet in the room. Front staff girls were great at check in, no complications-super easy and simple. If you need a quiet space for the night, this is it. Yea it’s a little tired, floors and some parts of the ceiling need to be touched up but I’d rather have that than difficult front staff and a restrictive pet policy. All around a decent hotel for the price.
