Cheap location but you get what you pay for
August 11, 2018

My first impression was not good as the person working the counter seemed annoyed to check me in. I will say that when I went to check out the person was super friendly and event appoligized that she could not refund me for the night I was not stay as we headed home a day earlier than planned. The bed was comfortable. The bed spread on both beds had cigarette burns in them. The bathroom needed work though. I went to adjust the shower head and it fell off. The back of the door had some kind of gang sign or something on it. They painted over it with a different color paint. Even that really didn't help as you could still see it. This property certainly is dated and needs some TLC. It is also near an intersection that is fairly loud. Overall it served it purpose but clearly needs work to be more than just and average cheep hotel.

This place was filthy. I understand that places can be dated or furnishings wear out but to keep a property so filthy is inexcusable. The linens where stained, the furniture was completely dusty and the bathroom was disgusting. The fridge leaked water all over. The property (grounds) are a good indicator of how there is no care for this property. The price isn't worth it.

Nice little hotel near college park.

This hotel is great for short stays-no frills. Bed was comfortable, lots of pillows. No big deal made over having a pet in the room. Front staff girls were great at check in, no complications-super easy and simple. If you need a quiet space for the night, this is it. Yea it’s a little tired, floors and some parts of the ceiling need to be touched up but I’d rather have that than difficult front staff and a restrictive pet policy. All around a decent hotel for the price.

Indianapolis 500 Weekend. Will not return!
June 06, 2018

We had an absolutely horrible experience. First off, our room was not clean. There were wrappers and trash found in the room. Including that, the tub was stained, there was stains on the carpeting and there was a hole in the bathroom door that had been very poorly patched. The ice machine closest to us was broken so we had to carry all of our coolers to the opposite end of the place to fill them near the office. The night we stayed there, there was also a guest next door to us who had many dogs. We were awoken at 11:45pm to a dog yelping and his owner yelling and cursing at him. We called to the front desk to complain. This went on for about 20 minutes with nothing being done. After that, the guest stood outside our door and argued and yelled with the other guests he was with. This went on til about 12:15am the morning of the 27th of May. I voiced my complaints to the worker and she said the manager was out but she would forward my concerns. I never heard a word from the manager. Instead I got a bill with a small portion of the total taken off. I was going to call but clearly the manager didn’t care to check on us about our experience. Another room in our group also found a tick in their bed as well as leftover food in the fridge. We have been staying at your establishment for the past 10 years for the Indy 500. And we have always had great experiences. I’m not sure if a new manager has taken over from last year but it has gone way down hill in the past year. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful for the most part. We were polite about the complaints butith the type of complaints made, you can tell the manager had no intention or cares to reach out to me. We will not be staying at your establishment again. In fact we have already booked 6 rooms for next year elsewhere. We even paid more so we didn’t have to stay at your place. This all means nothing to you guys however because it’s Indy weekend so you will be able to fill your rooms I’m sure. Perhaps that’s why the manager doesn’t care, because he knows he will still be able to fill rooms. Every year before this past one was great. No complaints. This year though was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. I hope that a supervisor monitors these reviews and really looks into the condition of the Red Roof Inn-Indianapolis North-College Park and its managerial staff.

Rock solid, comfy, and convenient!
March 04, 2018

I’ve stayed at this location a few times and definitely will again! As with all Red Roof stays, I strongly recommend get an upgraded king suite if available. Usually about $10 more than a regular, the added square footage, desk space, microwave, and fridge are worth it! The hotel is located just off 435N and about a block east of Michigan Rd (US421) and 96th St. There is a little strip mall next door with a liquor store and a humble but very tasty Chinese restaurant. Next to the strip mall is McDonald’s. Going north up 421 you’ll find all kinds of retail including a very nice Super Target as well as a couple of gas stations and convenience stores—all within a mile or so. Going south will get you to Texas Road House, Famous Dave’s BBQ, and more dining and retail options. The location makes it very convenient to Carmel as well which is just a few minutes away and is loaded with all kinds of retail and entertainment options. My room this trip was on the highway side of the building so I had some traffic noise but nothing too bad. My room was nice and clean, well-maintained, and very comfortable for the two nights I was here. The property itself is set back from 96th in a cul de sac so it’s very private. I’ve always found the staff here very friendly and helpful and this visit was no exception. The WiFi is also great which, as a business traveler who likes to watch movies in the evenings, is very important to me. Overall, I had a terrific experience and will definitely be back.
