Room quality will surprise you

To be honest there are not a lot of high quality options in the area. This is the second time we have stayed here in about the last year. The room quality is very good. It had a recent update about two years ago I believe. There are several small wineries and a nice brewery with in a 20-30 min drive of this hotel. Both times we have stayed and went to leave in the morning breakfast was wrapped up early, just FYI. We will stay here again when in the area.

Clean, nice rooms & pleasant staff !!

My stay was for one night in mid-April 2020. I drove 20+ minutes up from Kearney, out of my way, to stay here because I like the value of Red Roof Inns, and the renovated rooms with laminate (hate carpeted rooms!) flooring. This Inn is Very clean!! I was traveling during early Covid & did my own full sanitizing wipe-down of the room, and happily found it already Spotless !! Every surface..... from top of bed, curtain pull, mirror edges, top of tub surround etc etc already spotless!! Very impressive! Bed was very comfortable, lots of pillows, all room amenities (coffee, toiletries etc) well stocked, easy use TV, free WiFi. Staff at both check-in and checkout was very friendly, helpful & professional. The only con: My room was on ground floor facing the elevated pool deck, so my window view (had people been using the pool) wouldve been looking at their feet, while they wouldve been looking down into my room, which is creepy. Not a dealbreaker during my stay because I was only there for a quick overnight & didnt care about having curtains open. My stay here was so pleasant & comfortable, that I'll be staying here again when I pass through the area (again, I'll drive 20+ minutes out of way to stay here) Just fyi: this is not an original Red Roof built property, so the design is not typical. Lobby is very small & basic (but Clean!!) and building has interior hallways & no elevator... none an issue for me.

Note that they don't have an elevator

We have stayed in Cameron before but this was the first time we have stayed at the Red Roof. I am not certain that we will stay there again. It was clean and reasonably priced but it just wasn't for me. When we arrived we notice people sitting outside looking at their cell phone or tablets and when we walked in to register we noticed 2 people in the lobby on their computers. Didn't think much of it until we went to access the internet in our room and it was a bit slow. I told my family that, that must have been the reason the people were in the lobby (internet was better?). The beds were comfortable, drain in shower was a bit slow but not a deal breaker. Note that the establishment did not have an elevator for guests.

Nicely Renovated Rooms

Driving cross-country and wanted a clean, quiet, inexpensive place to spend the night that was just off the highway so we could easily gas up and hit the road the next morning. I'm driving a pickup truck and pulling a motorcycle trailer and they had adequate room to park it. Also, I'm tired of the money grab so-called "pet fee". Most hotels have anywhere from $20-$50 PER NIGHT pet fee. Absurd. This hotel does NOT have one. Thank you. Our dog is cleaner, quieter and better behaved than most kids and you don't charge a fee for them. The outside of the building looks odd for a Red Roof. But don't let that dissuade you from staying here. Most Red Roof Hotels, room access is outside. This building is a hallway style. Our room was renovated recently; the King bed was very comfortable; a nice work area; a nice size TV. Everything was fine and the most affordable overnight stay of our trip. Thanks!

good clean way stop

It is not a place to stay in for an extended period of time but it is a great traveller's stop. It is clean, no rugs, pet friendly and has a good staff. I recommend it for a budget stop when travelling through that part of the country.
