Finding a hotel that meets our standards of being "Clean, Comfortable, Safe, and Affordable" can be tough at times. The biggest challenge is avoiding a place that is cheap, but a place you would not want to stop at, even for a very quick rest. Consistently, Red Roof has been able to meet our criteria. It is why we chose this hotel on the very busy Market Street / Business US-17. Despite the high volume of traffic on Market Street, we could not hear it from our room. Upon entering the room, we found the room temperature to be perfect as the hotel had the air conditioner running. The biggest complaint about the A/C was that the unit was noisier than normal. Because we were both tired from a day of activities, we had no troubles falling asleep. Our room was rather big. It has the faux hardwood flooring that is tough for foot traffic. The king size bed was very comfortable with clean linens. There is a desk in the room in case you need to use a laptop or write a note. The sink with lots of counter space is just outside of the bathroom. Everything functioned like it is supposed to. This is a bare bones hotel chain with very affordable prices. We basically used it to sleep as we were out most of the time. Service here is very friendly and helpful. Because we are very familiar with Wilmington, we did not need any guidance or suggestions as to what to do and where to eat. There is no doubt we will consider this Red Roof Inn for our next rip to Wilmington.

We stay at this hotel everytime we come to Wilmington. We love it, it's conveinently located not to far away from anywhere we may go during our visit. We have 3 small kids and they love it as well!! We were impressed with the completed remodel, the room we stayed I'm this time was under construction last time we stayed. We try to come at least a few times a year just to get away from our everyday lives. Thanks to all the staff whom we're very polite & helpful during our stay!! We will definitely be back when our kids get out for summer break😊

No sleep

After driving for 16hours we just wanted sleep. people were in and out till 4:30 am yelling banging on doors having a party. Tv did not work bathroom door was broke. We had 2nights booked but left after one .a. Few more dollars is worth a good night sleep

Terrible hotel and dirty room, very disappointing

Dirty carpet and armchair in room. Coffee was like dishwater and they were out of milk. What kind of breakfast is that? There was no soap in first floor bathroom close to breakfast area. A sign says "Employees must wash hands before returning to work". With what? Only when I pointed this out did staff refill the soap dispenser and also fix coffee machine. The carpet in room was really dirty and there were stray dark hairs on toilet bowl. Lamp in room was covered with dust and pet hair and hasn't been cleaned in months. I told the manager RT but the lamp was not cleaned on day 2. She obviously doesn't care but was full of platitudes and excuses which didn't change anything. Sheets are poor quality with embedded stains. This is a Best Western hotel?? Very disappointing. Stay in a Red Roof Inn...cheaper and cleaner. I did not get what I paid for and the Best Western name obviously doesn't mean anything. I found this out the hard way. Never again.

I would not recommend Redroof Inn on Market St.Wilmington,N.C to anyone.I will alert all my colleagues that travel to stay away.My room was filthy and smelled horrible the fridge had old milk ,the floors were so dirty my feet were black,trash under the bed skirt and hair in the bed sheets as I tried to bring it to the attention at the front desk to resolve the issue the guy was very rude.When I asked to speak with management.I was approached by a woman who was very rude and with a very nasty attitude stating she was head housekeeper,that the manager was out of town and there was no one else I could call she said that the room was clean but she wouldn't even go check the room I even had pictures she refused to look at she just said oh well there is no one else I could call and to deal with it ,however I did find the number to the corporate office.I will make sure they are aware of the type of employees they have working for them as well as the filthy conditions of the rooms.
