The two bed room was ok. Clean sheets but the bathroom needed a better wash (hair that wasn’t our was in the shower and on the floor). A little bit noisy too because of the trucks parked that runs during the night (turning on and off the heat/clim). Little coffee maker and microwave was in the room wich was every usefull. People at the reception were helful and patient with us. Liquor store and Dunkin on the other side of the street. Few minutes drive to multiples restaurants and Wal Mart. Around 7-10 minutes walk to bus stop for NY (25 minutes Saturday AM). Bank and convenience store at the stop. We rent at the Red Roof because it was near the Met Life Stadium. But it‘s a problem for the taxis. Because it’s near, taxis didn’t want to take us back because it’s a cheap ride!! Better to go with public transportation (around 1hour ride). Was the cheapest price around NY for 3 nights and with a microwave in the room!

Firstly, almost every pic in the listing has a fridge/microwave, then u find out u don’t have either, & those rooms cost more. What $100 a night rm doesn’t have a fridge &/or microwave?? 4 days w/out either sucked. Got food delivered & had to throw out leftovers every day. Also I’ve stayed in small rooms in NY/chicago etc, but this is the smallest rm I’ve EVER had. Like the listed sq footage is fake kind of small. No way 2 humans fit in this rm, my dog couldn’t even walk around. Next, the air unit pulls from outside, so the hotel being next to water + rain the first 2 days I was there, the rm was an ACTUAL swamp. Clothes damp, smelled weird, awful. The next 2 days were cold so I had to use the weird old heat system in the rm that makes a loud ticking. & when maid cart is on floor above u it’s super loud, & people showering above is loud. The view in back of hotel is nice when it’s sunny, but I came to realize this is a weird stopover for truckers, & there were just weird people hanging out in back all wkend. & NO one picked up after their dog except me, so there’s stuff everywhere. I can say the room/bed were clean, but in disrepair. Floor coming up, bathroom raggedy, this place is just bad. I’m NOT a picky person, I’ve stayed in almost every state, but I truly considered leaving after 2 nights. It’s oppressive. I felt bad leaving my dog there. If u plan to be in NY & not be in the hotel at all, go ahead & stay there/have free parking, but TRUST me, u could do a LOT better :(

I came down from Canada for a business stay as my work was nearby. I booked a three night stay with Red Roof +. The first night I came home after working late to be denied entry to my room. I figured my cellphone had deactivated the card. Front desk issued me another & that didnt work. Second time was a charm I finally gained access to get some rest. Day 2 of my three day stay I came home exhausted again too be denied access to my room. I had been more careful to keep the card away from anything problematic yet still the lock wasnt allowing me in. I requested help from the front desk politely. I was issued not one not two but 3 new key cards walking back and forth each time to the front desk from the opposite side of the hotel. On the 2nd time back the very polite security guard Maya said she would come and assist me. Reaching the room with her on my third attempt she quickly realized this was redundant. She kindly asked me to wait in the lobby so as I wouldnt get cold while she sorted out the lock. She mentioned that this was the third time in the last 24hrs she had to assist guests at this location for the same reasons. I insisted I'd wait. She left and came back quickly with boiling water and her computer for the door. Dousing the lower end of the lock with boiling water she mentioned that due to temperature sometimes the mechanism freezes. I thought this was odd but whatever works. I was very tired and just needing some peace & quiet. To no avail after multiple attempts she insisted I got relax in the lobby once again untill she could fix the situation. I obliged this time. Twenty five minutes & a conversation later with the front desk about how I might have to take another room for the night without my belongs & just the clothes on my back untill maintenance arrived at 8am to fix the problem; she radioed down informing us she had gained entry. I was just about to become a VERY cranky individual had that scenario played out and me missing work due too a faulty hotel lock. This lovely lady Maya wasnt just a security guard during this time....she was a customer service representative...aswell as a maintenance employee. Not shaming the front desk at all but this issue needs to be solved at this location. Had it not been for Maya I would've not been just staying in another room for the night waiting till morning. UNACCEPTABLE position to put a guest in or even have to consider being in. I cant thank Maya enough for not just saying "it's not my problem...I tried" & giving up. She is a valuable asset to both her security company aswell Red Roof + operations. She went above and beyond to asset me & that meant alot too me. In conclusion...though we gained access to my room....the lock was still broken. Maya kindly asked if I could gather up my belongs so we could have me moved to a secondary room. Once ready she helped me carry my items to an upgraded room down the hall aswell as a headsup that she had spoken to a manager of the facility requesting my hectic night be reimbursed. This disruption during my stay was resolved exactly how it should be. Let it be known.

Not a bad stay outside of the city.

Decent hotel, clean, good rate. Didn't know pets were allowed, good to know for future reference. Easy to find, good parking. Lobby area was small, but it had coffee and other drinks available. Would stay again.
