Ask for Jay - he's the Bomb.

Traveling to Boston from Alabama for a new job - the trip was already stressful from the unexpected hotel stay due to a winter storm that made driving hazardous. Had 2 dogs with me too! Jay was not only delightful, he was also patient. I must have called him 10 times! Recommendations for a local package store (Chardonnay needed), place to pick up supper - he even walked down personally and let me in the side entrance when my key didn't buzz me in (probably operator error). Incredibly sweet guy and a great employee - the room was really nice for the price, clean, well appointed, and quiet on the hall. A toasty night after a chill day and both the place the people (well, Jay at least) made my stay top-drawer.

Driving home from Myrtle Beach SC

We were on our way home to Nova Scotia from South Carolina and had been driving all day as well as the day before. It was getting dark and we were tired so we stopped at Red Roof Inn in Chambersburg PA for the night. We were happy because the motel was just off the road so it would be easy to resume our trip in the morning and a gas station was close by so we filled our tank and were set for the next day. The person on the desk made checking in easy and called our room to see if there was anything we needed or if he could do anything else for us. The room was big and clean. We had everything we needed including WiFi, fridge, microwave and a comfortable bed. The motel was quiet and we got a good night's sleep which we also needed. The price was reasonable for just an over night stay. I would highly recommend this motel.

Ok Place To Stay

This is an OK place to stay, no problems. It was only an overnight rest stop for us on a longer road trip. We arrived after midnight, check in was easy and quick (had to push the bell button to get someone, for security, but that didn’t take long). We choose Red Roof since pets stay free, plus their prices are usually lower. Room was clean and all in working order. The breakfast selection was very minimal, some bagels and muffins, coffee, only juice was apple juice, some cereal too I think. Anyway for a low cost short overnight stay with a pet, this place is fine.

1st I'm giving 1 star because I can't give zero stars, I've never written a review like this in my life, but it's just so gross here. 2nd; we're staying here because we have our 2 little dogs with us. The hallway smelled nice, but when we opened the door to our room the smell of dirty wet dog hit us in the face. There was no carpets in the room to hold the smell so i checked the bedspread! They probably haven't been changed in weeks, on the floor they went. I did go to the front desk to complain, they sent someone to mop the floor (they mopped around the bedspreads I had thrown on the floor & didn't ask why they were there). After the floor was dry the smell was still there. Upon further inspection the beds appeared to be remade, not freshly changed beds, the sheets & blankets had stains on them and the sheets & pillow cases had dog hair on them. The bed skirts were covered in dog hair, I covered the beds with my own sheets so we could sleep, I couldn't bring myself to go to management again. There was even dog hair inside the fridge & microwave, I washed them inside & out with the lysol wipes I keep in my vehicle. We have stayed in 3 other Red Roof Inns this week & they were all very clean & didn't smell bad. I will definitely ask to inspect our room before paying for the rest of our trip. 1 night here was more than enough ;-(
